Details about the End-Of-Year Deals, as well as how your projects will vary in price and timeline, and what is included with your discounted rate, are below.

Book Your Pre-Production Meeting
Book a FREE pre-production meeting between now and December 31st. These meetings must happen before January 1st.
These meetings are an hour long, and in-person at Blue Lagoon. We will discuss your project, establish a discounted rate, and book sessions for 2025 to start your project. No recording will happen during the pre-production meeting.
If you find that we are not available when you are, please go to our "Contact Us" page and let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you.
***A one-time, non-refundable $50 deposit will be required, at the time of the pre-production meeting, to secure your first recording session. All subsequent sessions, unless they are full-day sessions, will not require a deposit.***
Who is eligible?
Anyone! As long as you have a vision that you want to turn into audio, we will work with you!
Types of projects that we will accept: Anything! But, here are some examples:
- Full band productions. Drums, Bass, Guitars, Keyboards, Vocals, etc...
- Small musical projects.
- Rap projects. You have a beat, you just need a microphone to rap in front of, and a producer to help you mix it.
- Karaoke
- Podcasts
- Voiceovers
- Audiobooks
- Poetry
Q: I am already a Blue Lagoon customer. Can I still get the discounted rates?
A: Absolutely! Previously agreed upon rates for your current project will still apply, but you are more than welcome to take advantage of the deal for future projects.
Q: I am working with another studio already, but want to take advantage of this deal. Can I still get the discounted rates?
A: Yes you can!
We love supporting local musicians, and are here to help you bring your music to life! Thank you for your patronage.
What's included, what's not:
Depending on your project and what is involved, you will receive either a discounted flat, per-song rate, or a discounted hourly rate.
Your discounted flat per-song rate includes:
- Songwriting and production help
- Recording for all instruments and voices
- Editing audio
- Mixing all songs
- In-studio session playing from the producer (if needed)
Your discounted flat per-song rate does NOT include (these things will be an additional charge):
- Outside session players (they will be paid directly by the artist)
- Remote sessions outside of Blue Lagoon's space (discounted rates will not apply)
- Mastering (we do not provide this service)
Your discounted hourly studio rate includes:
- Songwriting and production help
- Recording time
- Editing audio
- Mixing
- In-studio session playing from the producer (if needed)
Your discounted hourly studio rate does NOT include (these things will be an additional charge):
- Outside session players (they will be paid directly by the artist)
- Remote sessions outside of Blue Lagoon's space (discounted rates will not apply)
- Mastering (we do not provide this service)
All other services listed on our website that are not listed here are available at their regular rates. Other services can be found via the buttons at the bottom of this page.
Discounted Rates
Depending on your project and what is involved, you will receive either a discounted flat, per-song rate, or a discounted hourly rate.
Flat, per-song discounts are as follows:
- 1-5 songs: $100 off per-song
- 6+ songs: $150 off per-song
- Youth rates (18 and under): $250 off per-song
- Payment plans may vary, and will be established during the pre-production meeting.
- You will receive the discounted rates only on the number of songs agreed upon at the pre-production meeting. Anything additional to that will be charged at the regular flat rate.
Hourly rate discounts are as follows:
- $15 off hourly rates for your first 10 hours.
- Youth rates (18 and under): $25 off hourly rates for your first 10 hours.
- Regular hourly rates apply after your first 10 hours.
- Payments will be taken at the end of each session.
Rate totals will be discussed during the pre-production meeting.
***To be eligible for a discounted rate, you must book your free pre-production meeting between now and December 31st. The meeting must happen before January 1st. Click the button at the bottom of this section to book your session.***
Timeline
Any projects taking advantage of the End-Of-Year Deals (meaning they have successfully booked a pre-production meeting before January 1st) will not start the project until January 1st. The first recording sessions for the project will be booked during the pre-production meeting. Subsequent recording sessions, if needed, will be booked at the end of each recording session once the project starts. Production timelines will vary depending on the recording approach of the project. An estimate of how long a project will take will be given at the pre-production meeting. Discounted rates will apply through the entire project, regardless of timeline.
Projects using the hourly rates may book as many sessions as needed. Sessions can be any length of time that is available on our website, and can be used for any purpose (recording, mixing, songwriting and production...) Discounted rates will apply for the first 6 hours of sessions, then regular rates will apply.
Final Product
What you will receive:
At the end of the project, and once all outstanding payments have been made, you will receive your final deliverables.
Your final deliverables will be sent to you via a Dropbox link. There you will find:
- MP3s of all songs (included)
- WAVs of all songs at 48k sample rate, 24bit depth (included)
Other things we can provide, if requested (additional charges may apply):
- Instrumental versions of some or all of the songs
- Stems, raw or processed
- Digital Media / Videos
Please download all files as soon as you receive them. Files in your Dropbox folder will stay there for a year, then they will be cleared from Dropbox. Blue Lagoon will keep your files on a hard drive indefinitely. If you need to access them after they are cleared from Dropbox, please let us know. Archival retrieval will be an additional charge.
***REMINDER: We do not provide a mastering service, so these will be UNMASTERED songs. If you want your songs mastered, we can refer you to several mastering engineers we like to use for our projects. This will be an additional charge, and you will pay them directly. They set their own rates and are not affiliated with Blue Lagoon in any way.***
Blue Lagoon Recording Room does not own your songs, you own your songs. We will not use your songs for anything without your written consent first. We are not a digital distribution service, and we are not a CD production service. Those services can be accessed via 3rd party companies. Assistance with digital distribution and CD production can be provided for an additional fee. Details about those services can be found via the buttons at the bottom of this page.
